Microsoft improve refs file system for windows server 2016 in hyper v virtual machine for smooth use. Refs file system still can not replace ntfs file system. This file system is sound good. But if you wish to use refs instead of ntfs it's not possible or you can not switch refs, because Windows OS can not boot refs file system. Anyhow if you install refs it will be turn off some ntfs feature.such as file system compression, encryption, hard link, extended attribute, data the duplicate etc. So you can not use anywhere if you want.
